adjusted the sample prior---it was wildly unrealistic before #10

The previous prior had a mean that was about 12 orders of magnitude too large, and a standard deviation like 20 orders of magnitude too big.

Looks good. Being off by orders of magnitude is a crucial step in the journey of becoming a true astronomer...
