The function get_magic_quotes_gpc is not depreciated in 5.4

Please try this edited file and see if it will fix it.
simply replace syssetttings.php in include with this file.

Yea, I assume that will work. 
I had already changed the command to:
'stripslashes' => flush()

I appreciate the hard work.
