We're interested in using the farcrysolrpro plugin with Solr 3.6 and were wondering what kind of issues you encountered? If they are not too big we're happy to contribute our fixes to the plugin - we just need a rough idea of what could come up.

Thanks!

I haven't tried upgrading yet. I know the folks at Daemon are using the plugin with Solr 3.6. I don't believe there are too many changes involved. You'd have to upgrade SolrJ. I'm not sure what else might need to change. If you do undertake the upgrade and run into any issues post here and we can try to work them out together.

Shannon has upgraded his cfsolrlib library to work with Solr 4 as well.

Out of curiosity, what features of Solr 3.6 are you interested in using that is driving you to upgrade?

If I recall, I believe either the or the in the schema.xml was deprecated and replaced with something else in 3.6 (and 4.0+). I don't remember what else though.

no reason to go to 3.6. if/when we upgrade we should go right to Solr 4 or even Solr 5 when it is released soon.
