I think the concerns related to food image sets have been addressed. There is a massive database of 1,500 images that wasn't loading correctly, which is not loading.
The issues about game play i think can still be discussed.
Hi Bill, Tim, and Andy,
I've been using the latest version of Appetite Tamer (I installed the update that was pushed earlier this week), and I have a few questions and suggestions:
In both the Go/NoGo and Stop Signal modes of the game, is there a reason for the pause after every trial and the prompt to "hold and release the button to continue" ? Could there just be a built-in pause (of fixed or variable duration) in between each trial?
I then noticed that Quick Swipe Mode doesn't have the pause, so that's good, but it's only the Stop Signal version of the game. Can there be a Quick Swipe Mode added so that it's the Go/NoGo version of the game, or maybe people can choose between?
There are only a few exemplars of healthy and unhealthy foods..is there any reason why not more can be added from the foodpics database?
Relatedly, some of the healthy food images currently used in the app are a little odd...namely, the images depict grilled and/or seasoned vegetables that are hard to make out (e.g., grilled brussel sprouts, grilled/seasoned carrots, browned cauliflower). I quickly combed through the healthy images in foodpics and found potentially better ones to add to or replace what's currently programmed in the app (see .jpgs depicting salads, fruit salad, brussel sprouts, and other vegetables in attached .zip file)
Besides these observations and comments, I've found the app to work well but I'll let you know if I encounter any bugs or other issues in the next few days.
Cheers, Rich
