The index labels in Figure 5.10 are typeset at 4.6pt (because of scaling), which is below Adobe's recommended minimum 5pt. Make them slightly bigger.
Also, the figure still shows the hinting bug in Apple's broken version of Charter Italic; re-export the figure with the corrected version of the font.
