Crashes Upon Card Serches #178

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Open app
2.Search any card from main search page or top search bar
3.observe crash

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the card

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
app version 2.1.1
Android 4.1.2
Please provide any additional information below.
on top of not being able to search cards, I am now getting a push notification 
that read. "Checking for database updates". I have tried restarting my phone, 
re-installing the app, and clearing the data. Nothing seems to fix the issue

Good to hear it worked itself out. Did you submit a crash report?

That notification is doing exactly what it says. By default it checks every 
three days for new cards, starting from when you install the app. It's quicker 
to update cards that way than through the Play Store.
