Missing Hostname after restart #84

After restarting my server (something that can happen once a week or so when doing upgrades) I notice none of my apps can pull the hostname. Since a restart is a pretty common thing, I see this being a problem. Any thoughts on how to deal with this?

Oh man, I just saw #35, so I assume this isn't a thing that will be fixed. I'll close this out.
