Dosn't play song with high bitrate #716

Expected Behavior

It plays the song like any other

Current Behavior

image Just shows that it's playing but it stays at 0:00

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start a jellyfin server
  2. Put hotel california 5.1 stereo with 8036 kbps bitrate on the jellyfin server
  3. try and play it on the windows client
  4. profit

Possible Solution

try trans coding it down to the highest you can handle or just support a higher bitrate

Context

I can't listen to my song

v0.7.3

Operating System and version

Windows 10 Desktop

Server and Version

Jellyfin 10.9.10

Node Version (if developing locally)

If you're using the web player, try switching to mpv and see if that allows the song to begin playing.

but why don't you fix it in the web app/add a notification

Please one dev console (settings > open dev console) and see if there are any errors. I am personally able to play fairly high bitrate tracks fine.

switched back to web and the console doesn't show any issues yet it won't play back

feel free to try and replicate it with the flac

Thanks. With headphones at least, I can play it just fine. Try https://feishin.vercel.app (latest)? If it's surround sound that may be different (I am unable to test that)
