Touch friendly media controls #1026

Describe the feature you'd like

On tablets the play/pause button is small, and at the bottom of the screen. Making it hard to touch (especially when cooking)

It would be nice if there was a giant play/pause button in the center of the screen like on other apps (Netflix & YouTube)

Also, rewind/skip 10s buttons on the left and right sides of the play/pause button would be great too

Try the integrated player that you can enable in the client settings. It's designed to be much more touch friendly, unlike the default web player that we have no control over in the app.

This was actually removed from the Jellyfin web player last year, not sure if they're working on a new implementation: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-web/issues/2377 https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-web/issues/3486

I stumbled across this Github issue searching for information, because I too found the Jellyfin controls on our Android tablet a tad lacklustre ;) But the given explaination is understandable.

Same hope here. I have a tablet with Jellyfin client. The buttons are to small and the double touch would be to skip forward or jump... I hope it will be possible one day ;)
