ExoPlayer fails on server issues for certain files #369

Describe the bug Select movie, and exoplayer errors ou

To Reproduce go to movie library -> play never plays

Expected behavior Expect the media to play, I can play this file on web/roku and wih external player

Can you look in the server logs if you see an error when you try to play this video?

This part of the logs does not show any issues, AFAIK there should be an exception/stacktrace somewhere for 500 errors.

That was the full log when I hit the play button in jellyfin server. its also not clear where the 500 error is coming from. This is an mkv file in a strm file. I also noticed that the other clients don't use this call. External players don't use this call either.

I think we should add some additional logging, it doesn't look like the exception is catched right now, if we did we could log it together with the streaming url. It most likely won't fix your issue directly but it should help finding the problem.
