@crobibero don't close the issue, it hasn't been resolved. What other information do I need to give for a client and not jellyfin server information? please open this issue back up.

I added more information by the way

Has there been any progress in this? it seems like it wont do video decoding

What CPU are you using? Mesa Intel UHD Graphics doesn't really tell us much as far as what CPU you're using or which integrated UHD graphics card it has.

The logs you posted show that nothing has been setup in terms of hardware acceleration, it keeps searching for everything and fails. if ffmpeg was doing it's job you would also have logs that have the word ffmpeg in it somewhere in the logs section as well.

Jellyfin server requires a few extra steps and some software on linux for it to work properly. The guide at below should point you in the right direction (i'm not familiar with manjaro at all)

https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/administration/hardware-acceleration/

There is a new version of the jellyfin media player as well (1.9.2) but I'm guessing you've updated since you opened this ticket.

You can join the Jellyfin discord server for more real time help as this isn't technically a bug.

Good luck, hope you solve your issue!

I'm going to have to get back you you about this as I am not near my family member at the moment to double check this.

Thank you for the reply!

the laptop has a Intel Pentium Silver N6000 cpu and Intel UHD Graphics (JSL)

I have also noticed on this laptop that I cannot change the quality setting, on all the other Linux machines there is no issues except for this pesky laptop
