Cannot see buffering progress in video seekbar #560

Describe the bug When watching via browser web client, I can see how much the video has buffered. But, connecting to the same server with JMP, this buffer progress is not shown. I would prefer to use JMP because of its better support for direct playing codecs.

Just as a test I have also tried replacing the 'desktop' jellyfin-web folder in the JMP install directory with a more recent one but that made no difference.

It's not simply happening just because it is a locally hosted server, but it also happens when remotely connecting to other servers. I also do not think it is the case that JMP is simply not buffering enough for the highlight to be seen past the 'current time' blue dot - I can see in Task Manager that it is downloading a few hundred Mbps at a time which would be well more than a couple seconds (or even minutes) of a 1.5mbps stream.

It does not seem to depend on whether or not the video is being transcoded.

Jellyfin server version: 10.8.13 JMP version: 1.9.1

i would guess this has to do with the player backend.

Just to update: this issue is still present in the latest Jellyfin 10.9 big server update and JMP v1.11.1

Glad this is not just me facing the issue. I think it does not show because it is not buffering ahead at all. Can the devs please check this ?
