Unable to play any media after fresh install of OS and Jellyfin Media Player #614

I had a fresh install of Windows 11 and installed the latest Jellyfin Media Player. I have Jellyfin running in docker. I was able to connect to the server and login but when I click on any file I get an error that says.

Playback failed Playback failed with error "loading failed". Retry with transcode?

Then once i click on retry it pops up with another error.

Playback error This client isn't compatible with the media and the server isn't sending a compatible media format.

I have since updated Jellyfin to the latest image thinking that the server and the client were out of sync.

This error is still happening.

Here are my logs log_20240505.txt (I attached the log because pastebin said it was too big)

Hello, same here!

Since the update, I have the same error message: Playback failed with error "loading failed". Retry with transcode? (Note this may hang the player.)

Still able to view my media via Google TV and Android App, but not on my computer any more.

Docker server version: 10.9.2 Media Player version: 1.10 Computer OS: KDE Neon

I had this issue but with jellyfin itself (wasn't the players fault). Pulling in a newer jellyfin image seemed to fix it.

On my side, downgrading the media player fixed the issue...

My server is up to date (v10.9.2) as mentioned
