Jup same on Gnome wayland. Disabling wayland socket access for JMP using flatseal makes it run through xwayland flawlessly.
Same issue here, on KDE/Wayland. Seems to be a common problem, hope it gets fixed soon, since the browser version also doesn't work on Wayland.
In Sway and Ubuntu 24.04, it straight up SIGSEGVs and dies. Some more info:
https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-media-player/issues/741
It seems completely broken at the moment.
Use Xorg
same issue with Kubuntu 24.10

Running Jellyfin 10.9.10 and use Jellyfin Media Player 1.11.1-1-amd64-bookworm.deb, and just setup a computer, with KDE Plasma desktop envoirement, which means it uses Wayland. When using that, the Jellyfin Media Player is just a black window, so i reinstalled Debian 12.6, but with Cinnamon Desktop enovirement which uses Xorg - As far as i know. This makes me belive that there is an issue with KDE Plasma / Wayland on Debian 12.6.
