JMP not working anymore after updating server to 10.10.0 #787

I'm on Ubuntu 22.04, using the .deb of Jellyfin Media Player, but unfortunately ever since I updated my server to 10.10.0, when launching the app, I just get a gray screen.

When launching Jellyfin Media Player via terminal, it outputs errors like TypeError: Failed to register a ServiceWorker andLoading chunk 93649 failed

I would be super grateful for a fix <3

@Arche151 I had a similar problem when updating a server to 10.10.0. JMP on Windows launched and showed the home screen, but wasn't able to play video. The Dashboard reflected the Web and Build versions as being 10.9.0. I had to delete the appdata for JMP (C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Jellyfin Media Player and C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\JellyfinMediaPlayer) then re-launch to get it to work.

I got exactly the same issue on Ubuntu. Any advice?

Linux Mint 21.3 same issue. I open the media player and get a Jellyfin logo for a millisecond then a blank screen. Tried everything I could think of and find online, such as bbenavidez mentioned, but nothing has worked. Would like this to work again, as using a browser is not the same quality as the media player.

Not sure if this is a permanent resolution or if this will work for everyone else, but on 2 different windows devices i was having the blank grey screen issue when opening jellyfin player after updating the server. I just did a right click reload in the client and it seemed to fix the issue.

OMG... It worked on Ubuntu too. So simple. Why I don't thought about this.

I had a similar issue which was fixed by deleting the Jellyfin files in Application Support on macOS

Thanks for the suggestion! I actually switched to Windows from Ubuntu yesterday, have the same issue with JMP, but I couldn't find JMP in the AppData\Local\ directory, unfortunately.

Edit: Ah wait, I did find the directories, deleted their content and no JMP works fine again!! Thanks a lot :))

Windows 11 user with the same issue here. Clearing the appdata folders was the silver bullet. Thanks for the tip!

Fixed my issue. Had the problem that playlists and music tracks didn't load To everyone else: Make sure to right-click into empty space.

Had the issue when starting playback of a video(audio played, video not shown). Your suggestion worked. You are a beast man. Thank you!
