Describe the solution you'd like plex works on retro pi with 0 issues can you make it so jellyfin can to ? if i can already PLS explain how all i see is "how to make a server this or that" and thats not what i want . i have a x64 server my pizero w's are hooked to tvs right now they do koid / retro pi but if you just have retro in they can run plex as a feature. id like the same but with jellyfin as i cannot afford plex pass and dont wanna run 2 sever things just for this.. kodi is annoying as it takes 8 min to install new things and 4-5 hrs to do my full lib first time jelly fin just shows what the sever has does not need to pull the pictures to "local" to make it show up. so im begging pls give me a walkthough or a new feature to make this work on pi0 1 2 3 4 (as a client) NOT sever so my pc will do the heavy lifting all it has to do is play to the tv. thank you so much in advance

(pls note shim wont work as retro does not count as a desktop environment and im not sure what else to do at this point)

Raspberry PI is known not to work with MPV. I have spent about a week on this with no sign of any results, but if someone else gets it to work please let me know.

ASLO id like to add it does work with shim and jellyfin you can find this here https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/clients/index.html#jellyfin-cross-platform-clients get "shim" it works with pi however it needs a desktop type environment

thats the limit of what i know ;/ i have not tried the plex one but i have seen it work on a videofound here ( he leaves out the part where he actually installs it )https://youtu.be/Y0QgD2Zhc_k?t=1249

to me the plex one looks like its just getting a get clone from and calling it plex https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv-build.git this is from that walkthough, however i cant really tell as my code is not up to snuff can ya lemme know? if so perhaps we can do the same but just make it work with jellly?
