[Issue]: Not all file shows. #33

Not all file is showing in specific one folder on Sony x950h tv stock player dlna mode.But in jellyfin app its show all the file. Workaround is I have to mark that video as favorite then i can find that video on sony stock player favorite section.

I use that player because only stock player can do DTS Connect/DolbyDigital Live type thing to my Logitech z906 speaker so i can enjoy all types of multi channel audio codec via optical cable. And also pass-through DTS & Ac3 audio without any issue. Why Exoplayer audio is so trash? I am not sure which side issue that is. But if you guys can manage to fix the audio problem then i don't have to bother with stock player anymore. Thanx for your wonderful software made free for everyone.

@falthu I have experienced the same Issue on any Jellyfin version above 10.8.0. I'm thinking of having to downgrade a second time. But in my case I had to remove the Jellyfin library and then re-add it, which I shouldn't have to do. I'll hope someone comes up with a solution.

@rx570gtx1060 do you have any idea why 10.8.0 works for you specifically? my library was not loading anymore or rebuilding, similar to jellyfin/jellyfin#8716 and jellyfin/jellyfin#8613 with no useful debug log messages i assume you tried 10.8.1? im trying 10.8.0 now and it seems to be working, but my library takes a while to rebuild. i'll post with more info if i find anything

@benjamingwynn

Not quite sure to be honest.

neither 10.8.0 nor 10.7.0 worked for me unfortunately 😔

Hi,

i had the same issue that when trying to use the internal DLNA player from my LG OLED TV that some files were not showing.

For better analysis, go to the jellyfin Administration Overview -> Devices -> DLNA and activate the error protocol for DLNA. Then open the directory on our TV where the files are not being shown. And Administration Overview -> Enhanced -> Protocol check the file from the current day and look for the files in the protocol. When I was reading the log, for my files it says they weren't compatible for my device.

Thats because of the DLNA profile. In the logs, search for the term "Profile" and you should see, which profile Jellyfin is currently applying to your device. Under Administration Overview -> Devices -> DLNA on the top bar you should see the two tabs Settings and Profile. There are default system profiles. In my particual case, the default "LG Smart TV" profile was applied. This profile is a little bit outdated. But when you open it and make modifications for it and save, you created a copy of that profile. Give it a new name so you should see it better in your logs.

In my case with the default "LG Smart TV", my logs showed issues with files not showing up as the profile didn't added all supported subtitles formats. If you select the systemdefault profile "LG Smart TV", under Info -> Subtitle Profiles add the missing subtitles your TV can support.
