Describe the feature you'd like

I'm assuming this has been brought up before but I searched for an issue and didn't find it. I also searched discussions and didn't find anything.

Would it be possible to add the ability to speed up playback? There are many videos (specifically education related) that I would love to be able to bump in .25x increments up to about 2x.

Is this doable client-side on the roku or would the video have to be transcoded in order for this to happen?

Seconded. If I recall correctly - the Android TV client had this feature.

It must be transcoded as Roku's video player component has no property for playback speed.

I also second this. This would be very useful feature especially when watching lectures/etc.
