A lot of the steps in the build script were old and no longer really maintained. I removed all the extra steps and just kept building/packaging the server and FFmpeg together.
There is an intermediate commit (pls do not squash) for posterity - it has almost all the necessary updates to modernize the script (as of 10.8), with the exception of the tray app. We no longer host a separate copy of it to be downloaded, and I didn't want to put in the effort to automate the deployment of it (because it is already covered by the manual steps in the README).
The PS1 is untested at the moment, but I don't see any reason it should fail.
