DLNA volume slider not doing anything #4521

Describe The Bug i have recently tried DLNA via jellyfin on my LG OLED TV, which in the console says supportedCommands: ["SetVolume"], but the volume slider does not affect the actual volume

Steps To Reproduce

  1. connect a DLNA device
  2. play something
  3. go to the player (/web/#!/queue)
  4. try to modify the volume
  5. observe the volume not changing

Expected Behavior Either that no volume slider is shown, or for it to actually affect the volume

Additional Context LG TV is connected through ARC(e) to a soundbar, but even without it, the volume is not changed

also i dont know if this is a web problem or a jellyfin problem itself

from what i can tell, there has been no new version or discussion, so this is still a issue

from what i can tell, the version 10.8.10 that came out since then did not address this issue (at least not mentioned in the changelog or any discussion in this issue), will have to re-test later that it actually still does not work

i now retested, and in 10.8.10 the volume slider actually works and sets the volume on the TV (LG OLED TV), but i dont know if jellyfin fixed this or LG

only thing to note is that if a "resumed play" is started (automatically after connecting to a device?) then the TV does not switch to DLNA but jellyfin still says it is playing and have to manually stop and re-start the content - but i guess this is not too big of a problem and not related to this issue
