No visual confirmation and delay playing Live TV

Please describe your bug

This started beginning with 10.9.3. When selecting channel to play in Live TV there is a large delay and users do know know if the channel is loading or not. In 10.9.2 users would see a spinning cursor/wheel so there was some sort of acknowledgement. Not anymore.

Some may say its purely aesthetic but still the functionality from 10.9.2 should be retained.

Reproduction Steps

Select Live TV channel. You will not get any visual confirmation that channel was selected.
