[Bug] Black Screen when opening Pictures (LG OLED 65 B9 DLA) #5919

Hello there.

When using the app on my LG OLED videos work fine. However, when opening a picture the screen turns black. I can return to the picture overview (where I can see thumbnails) but every picture I open is displayed in black.

Do you have any ideas how to resolve this?

I have the same issue. Only black screen when opening a picture on webos. It works fine on AndroidTV and Linux app.

Hi there, I have the same problem. I'm new so i can't tell you if it is a new bug or not. Data:

LG OLED 55C7V (2017) WebOS 3.9.2-6270911 (dreadlock2-dudhwa). Software version 06.10.45.

As others say, this only happens with pictures and not with videos, which run perfectly. Thumbnails can be seen correctly so there is no access or visualization/playback problem with the pictures or better said, with the format of the pictures. The problem happens when clicking the picture in order to see it fully, then a black screen appears without any kind of text or options available, all black. It is a black screen that covers the whole TV.

Then if you press left, up, right, down, or you move the wheel, nothing happens. You can only exit that screen by pushing the back button which brings you back to the album you were before clicking the picture. This is not a crash, there is no info in the log, it simply does nothing in order to visualize it. No download request, nothing. If there is anything else that I can provide just tell me.

Pictures from the same server are displayed correctly in all other devices: web pages and android apps.

Exact the same problem here: TV: LG OLED 55C8LLA webOS and Jellyfin app up-to-date at the time of writing.

In my case it's a mixed library with media of my GoPro. Videos play correctly. JPGs fail like mentioned above (black screen).

Same issue is found on Samsung QN75Q8CAM TV. Tried various builds of v10.9 but no luck
