There seems to be a lot of conflicting info on this espically as LG dropped DTS support on the previous 2 models that caused playback issues and now its supported in 2023 models again I'm now having the issue of no DTS playback.
I'm in early learning in regards to correct terminology so please forgive me if I don't make any sense.
When playing .mkv files with DTS audio on my LG G3 with DTS passthrough enabled to my capable soundbar, Jellyfin always transcodes via "Direct Stream" and the audio is played back in Stereo PCM (no DTS) that is with "Allow audio playback that requires transcoding" enabled.
Now If I disable "Allow audio playback that requires transcoding" the file now plays with DTS audio perfectly via "Direct Play"..... well that's UNTIL I try to seek through the movie at which point the video freezes and the audio continues for 10 seconds until everything freezes.
Same issue as above when seeking through a DTS audio file that does indeed require "Remux" transcoding with "Allow audio playback that requires transcoding" Disabled and "Prefer fMP4-HLS Media Container" enabled (the later needs to be enabled otherwise I get no audio)
So what I do know is DTS passthrough is definitely capable on my system but I believe the issue is with the Jellyfin WebOS client on how that is handled.
I see a new version 1.2.0 is very close to being released, hopefully these issue have been addressed already.
