I use the current Jellyfin App on my LG CX with the latest firmware.
I only use the x265 HEVC format.
I noticed that ASS/SSA subtitles are loaded with a delay and are not displayed in series that have subtitles immediately after ~5 seconds.
Anything known about it here? This is super annoying and I'm looking for a way to fix it. This works perfectly on the PC via the browser or the desktop app.
Just for fun, I changed the subtitles from ASS to SRT for a series episode and lo and behold, they are right there on the TV.
But I don't want to convert hundreds of series episodes because SRT is not optimal.
However, with x264 the ASS from the container works directly.
I'm really wondering whether this is normal or a bug and what I can do?
//Edit:
As I said, when I start a series episode in x265 format, the subtitles are loaded with a delay and the initial subtitles of the first few seconds are therefore not displayed.
But if I then manually start the series episode over again (manually set it back to 0:00 without restarting the episode) the ASS subtitles are suddenly displayed correctly.
