Problem with showing subitles while fetching additional metadata #225

When I start watching something, jellyfin is fetching "additional metadata" - it says so on the right bottom corner. it takes up to even few minutes. While its doing that, it doesn't show any subtitles that are added to the movie / series (srt format). If it finishes fetching - it starts showing them

My tv is LG C11, and it doesn't show any available updated for the app.

This is expected behavior since the server is extracting the srt stream on the fly from the media file. This process takes a while depending on the file size. To mitigate the delay there is a plugin I think which allows you to schedule the extraction of all subtitles before actually watching the media

@fanginoort then this message is incorrect. it should say that its actually extracting subtitles so it doesn't cause confusion
