Hi, I have a LG 43UF640V running webOS 2.0 and I can confirm that content fails to play. It happens also with my own library.
Is there something I can do to help you debug/beta test a potential fix?
Have you made any changes to the jellyfin webserver related to this issue? I updated the jellyfin docker container to the latest version (on Unraid) and tried again with my webOS 2.0 LG TV and everything works great!
Hi, all. Connecting to the demo server doesn't work for my webOS 1.0/1.4 TV. I get the error message: "Unknown error occurred. Are you connecting to a jellyfin server?" This seems to be SSL (https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-webos/issues/43) related.
Though, connecting to my local jellyfin server v10.8.8 works. Video files in h264 do run. But there seems to be problem using HEVC files. They won't get transcoded by my server. Transcoding does work for other clients in my home. So this must be related to the webOS client.
EDIT: ipk version 1.1.0

Issue During certification testing, devices running LG webOS 1.0 or 2.0 could fail to playback items under certain circumstances.
Notes from Testing
Notes In the details provided, there was a video showing the tester using a magic remote in pointer mode for navigation. It is not believed that this affects the issue.
Next Steps
For internal (Jellyfin) testing:
For community help:
If you have a webOS 1.0 or 2.0 device (or any version), please let us know if you are able to test this using the steps above. There is a compiled IPK available with the instructions in the README.
You can use the public demo server, https://demo.jellyfin.org/stable. The username is
demo
, with no password. For our test purposes, try only the TV Shows library. Though you can still access Music on the public demo server, we've disabled music on our internal test server that LG uses.
Note that the public server is reset on the hour, every hour. It is recommended to avoid testing at that moment, as it will likely result in a connection error. This does not apply to our internal testing server.
Possible Fixes Unknown at this time. Is there a layer/race condition with the web UI?
