@jelovirt I tested some of these changes with a draft docs PR https://github.com/dita-ot/docs/pull/451, looks good so far. 👍

I'm seeing a few differences in monospaced font rendering between PDF2 defaults vs. those customized in the theme file (see https://github.com/dita-ot/docs/pull/451/commits/421bac553a123fce0c0a70f4a6520ceb71e27ca2).

To better align those, it would be good to support styling XML domain elements here too.
