Same issue on my side. Happens with both the portable and setup version.

After updating to version 2.4.0 i have the exact same issue, and i don't have the issue when using version 2.3.1 (both portable version). When using portable version, the software will create its environment in a folder called 'open-video-downloader' in the same folder as the software exe (i'm currently using windows). There is no file called 'yt-dlp.exe' which is the youtube-dl file and the software is just a GUI for youtube-dl, so it's not working when you haven't got youtube-dl file. I don't know why version 2.4.0 can't automatically download the youtube-dl file when version 2.3.1 can do so.

I tried download the file 'youtube-dl.exe' from youtube-dl's releases and renamed it to 'yt-dlp.exe' then put it in the folder 'open-video-downloader', seems it fixed the problem and i don't get this error. Hope this solution works for you, too.

Download the file 'youtube-dl.exe' from youtube-dl's releases and renamed it to 'yt-dlp.exe' then put it in the folder C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Programs\youtube-dl-gui\resources\app.asar.unpacked\binaries\yt-dlp.exe. Works for me.
