1 year ago There are many alternatives available, I use Seal which is an open-source application available on F-Droid and it works pretty well. It uses Yt-dlp to download videos and also has a modern UI with Material You theme. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.junkfood.seal/
Otherwise for youtube videos Newpipe is also a good alternative for downloading videos. It is available on F-Droid as well. https://f-droid.org/packages/org.schabi.newpipe/

When I want to download videos from internet sources that are available through youtube-dl there are only a few really shady apps that allow you to download them. Whats shady about them is that you have to pay for them to not contain their own ads or that you cant even download a playlist, only single videos. Also do they force you to update the App when there is an update available. So i have to go through the pain to install and use youtube-dl on a commandline (termux) which is not easy on a mobile device.

As your App already works fine on Windows and supposedly Linux too, why dont you also make a Android Version?
Describe alternatives you've considered
If you make a Web Version it is gonna be good enough, but the servers might get taken down which causes some delays
