Try to 'curl' tarball if 'wget' isn't available #4

Gem installation failed because wget was missing. Thought it would be better to attempt the more prevalent curl if wget wasn't available.

If there's no curl then it'll fail, as before.

Not urgently, no. Just thought it’d be a nice additional that reduced dependencies issues.
