Hi, Marcin!
Roman.Arabic references to propositions. They have been standard in Elements at least since Heiberg's 1883–85 edition (in the Latin pages, albeit with a comma: https://archive.org/stream/euclidisoperaomn01eucluoft#page/146/mode/2up). I know too little about ConTeXt and its wiki didn't help me in this task.
I do not understand ConTeXt sectioning and referencing system well (in particular, i don't know what's the right way to force chapters to be referenced as roman numerals), but it's possible to use the same method which I used for axioms or propositions marked with letters. Now you can use \startBook
instead of \startbook
( https://github.com/jemmybutton/byrne-euclid/commit/c15e2e328a1ec94d5e13070071edb7cd4eef1285#diff-5a8eec69ed8a2717ec1a6d8ee3f6ac94R1145 ) and you'll have Roman.Arabic references.
Experiment with colour in the lettrines. For instance, keep the letter black and draw the fleurons in one of the basic three colours. Or even in a gradient starting in one colour and ending in another.
This might be a good idea, thank you, I'll try to play with it.
Thank you for \startBook
! Regarding lettrines: to avoid the perception of chaos, you can keep the colour schema the same within each book.
Hi, Sergey! Would you mind sharing your email address with me? You can, for instance, put it in a comment in this issue and then delete the comment — I will get a notification via email.
Hi Sergey. I'm putting here random ideas that I can't implement on my own. Feel free to ignore them.
