The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) announces the following:
The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) has released revised annual statistics of personal income for states (1929-1997) and counties (1969-2000). These newly revised statistics are consistent with data released in September 2018 for states (1998-2017), and in November 2018 for counties (2001-2017). In addition, BEA has also released revised state quarterly personal income statistics for 1948:Q1-1997:Q4 that are consistent with current data for 1998:Q1 – 2018:Q3 (BEA interactive data).
The estimates released today complete BEA’s comprehensive update of regional personal income statistics. The comprehensive update incorporates source data that are more complete and more detailed than previously available, updates to methodologies, the results of the July 2018 comprehensive update of the National Income and Product Accounts, the results of the September 2018 comprehensive update of state personal income, and the results of the November 2018 comprehensive update of local area personal income.
