hr2-final-fix.wad crashes game and hangs system after completing map02 #71

Okay look, one day I played WiiDoom v1.4.2 

Iwad: Doom2

Pwads: hr2final.wad,hr2-final-fix

I kicked ass at the first two levels, but after going through the exit portal 
in the second level, the game crashed and hung the system. I later played 
without the fix file, and surely enough, the game sent me to the next level. So 
what's happening when I use the patch?
