Will Not Install - Jenkins 1.409.1 #9

Tried installing on a Jenkins 1.409.1 (latest from Ubuntu server) and it will not install. Restarted Jenkins several time. Manage plugins screen says it is installed, but when Jenkins restarts, it shows that it is not installed.

I am having the same problem with 1.424.6 (also latest from Ubuntu server) when trying to install the Artifact Deployer plugin.

I think it is overtaken by events, I think the versions of everything have changed in the mean time, I don't have an easy way of checking this any more.
