hostname is null

The hostname is coming up null on a supermicro server:

redfish_system_memory_state{hostname="",memory="P1-DIMMA1",memory_id="1",resource="memory"} 1

I've set the hostname via the IPMI interface.

What field/url are you using for hostname? This server lists the name in /redfish/v1/Managers/1/EthernetInterfaces/1

Maybe under redfiah/v1/system/，not individual component，It is the standard redfish specification, please check if your sever have fully compatibility with redfish specification,you van also refer the pdf file in this repo

It's an older server (3 yrs or so), so I'm upgrading the FW. Apparently they have an upgraded RedFish version in there. I'll let you know if that resolves the issue.

It's the server; it lists the hostname under the NIC. I presume it's because it's an older (about 3yrs old) Supermicro server, and just doesn't implement the protocol correctly.
