Episode 95 #64

Here it is. The episode to launch the new website. One the site is up, I'll be taking down the old transcript website. So no need to put anything into this github jekyll repo anymore.

I haven't published this episode yet, of course. But it is edited and waiting on the new website. http://dev.thewebahead.net/95. I'll hold the launch of the new site until the transcript is done.

And in the future, the plan is to always record the show a week in advance. Stage everything in Drupal. Do the transcript. And release the show with both the audio and transcript the week after it was recorded. We can talk more about the future later... meanwhile, OMG HERE'S THE SHOW ANNOUNCING THE WEBSITE!!! Let's make a transcript for it!!

Congrats, Jen!

Thanks Jason! And thanks for your help. And to everyone who's helped out.

On it after #94, which is almost done.

FYI The compliance check module in Drupal freaks out when the title attribute starts with the letter a + space. EG: title="A List Apart" doesn't pass but title="AListApart" does.

Yay transcript!!

Boo Drupal module freakout. Weird. I've not run into this — the compliance check module. The title attribute should have spaces in it, yes? That's my first thought off the top of my head (without googling). The title should be readable as a tooltip and by screenreaders (if needed). Hm...

Do you think this is something to ignore? Or to do something about?

jennschlick commented 9 years ago

Yeah, the title attribute should have spaces.

It's only worth noting for you, as you're working in Drupal. If you get an error from this module when saving a node and, like me, spend the next 30 minutes trying to figure out why, see if one of your title attributes starts with the letter a + space. EG: A website about bananas

jensimmons commented 9 years ago

Oh, only if the title starts with an 'A' and has spaces. Ah, Drupal..... yeah, I'm not even sure why that module is installed. I think I added it in a an SEO tool frenzy the other day. I should remove it...
