Authentication bails after redirect

Basically this is what happens (forgive me I've been up all night):

Submit login form to processLogin
On processLogin, Sentry::check() is true and Sentry::getUser() returns what you'd expect
Redirect: dashboard, Sentry::check is now false and getUser() returns null.

I have no idea what is wrong at this point, but I am about to pass out.
