Bad:

IPv6 support is terrible and its incredibly difficult to enable post-factum
managed boot diagnostics can't be configured from CLI - you need to pass a storage account name
Azure CLI is big (and packaging broken for arm64)
Most docs push towards powershell and windows by default
Lack of support for consumption based docker container functions
Blob storage is slow for http based requests (big server side latency?). Only way to use fast is azcopy but...
Azcopy is very bad for scripting (custom env variables/flags/cleanup needed to get sane behavior)
kexec doesn't work by default
IMDS leaks implementation details (basic IP shows up at instance, standard IP is only accessible via loadbalancer :()
temp storage does not play nice with systemd services (gets mounted late in the boot process)
disk enumeration not deterministic (OS,temp storage,data disk; /dev/sd[abc])
VM creation is slow (150s minimum), its actually comparable in speed to a hosting provider that has BMC init, POST, PXE boot).
Resource deletion sucks (resources automatically created during VM creation need to be deleted in order, one by one)
death by a million cuts

Good:

managed identity is nice, but not the first thing to reach for
nested virt on even small D instances is nice for dev/testing

Dashboards: filter resources by tags, display only some resource groups. Both appear to be missing

Linux consumption based functions cant be edited in portal.

Image builder has no portal workflow.

Azcopy login doesn't work without workarounds, or needs additional env variables that are hard to find, needs additional role assignments even when owner.

Images built from marketplace image can't be used through portal. Something tracks the plan they are created from but forces user to provide it explicitly. What the heck.

TLS has no hits in search. SSL shows application gateway.

Front-door or Application Gateway? Which one won't break the bank. Let's try Application Gateway "Subnet must only have application gateway". Can't select "create new"? Need to go to manage configuration.

When selecting instance size i find it hard to return to instance creation.

"Pin resource group" is the way to add things to dashboard, but why is this not accessible from dashboard? When I edit dashboard, none of the options allow me to add an RG.
