Overview issue #131

Closed jerbaroo closed 4 years ago

Hi @rozsasarpi, so over the next two weeks I am going to focus on three things:

Regarding the model:

I would love to have things validated. However, given the lack of relevant background, I think it's best I do not spend my time, without feedback, on trying to figure out that another node should be fixed in some degree of freedom or something like that.

I will make sure the three things I mentioned above have good progress, as these are things I know I can, and will have to anyway, make progress on. It will be nice to work on things I feel a bit more comfortable on.

Question: If the meshing is improved, and the material properties are correct, and the fixed nodes are in setting B, as in issue #130, then can I reasonably expect the model to work? Or is there something important that I might be overlooking, anything at all that is important to also look at?

The reason I ask this, is because "you don't know what you don't know", there may be some property of the models I am ignoring that must also be checked.

In my view your model already does work and it is more or less validated with the measurements. You still have to finish the temperature load and verify your implementation against Axis or Diana.

I'm so glad you think so, I was getting a bit worried. I will clean it up a bit still (verification), and then I am excited to focus a bit on writing and trying some initial classification experiments on the Lisa cluster, I think it's best to focus on these now for a week or two. Then get back to validating temperature and piers.

Ok, let's do that.
