Very interesting, figure 7.19 and 7.20 are even more informative. This observation should be mentioned in your thesis along with a comment that this effect is not included in the analysis. Bridge Z-24 is a box girder/slab with about 1.1 m structural depth that should be quite stiff but the asphalt (16cm) still has a non-negligible effect. Based on this I would also expect non-negligible effect in case of bridge 705, luckily I do not expect that the asphalt temperature would go below zero in the NL.

Parameter selection plot. Went with 332 simulations per wheel track, initially 300 but bumped it up because 332=102.75/0.31 was not far off, where 102.75 is bridge length and 0.31 is the wheel print length. 4 wheel tracks has a run time of less than 55 hours on the workhorse. This plot was with a lower quality model but will regenerate something higher quality overnight, though I don't really expect much to change.
