I wonder if runManageInitially=true is really necessary.

I don't mind making an example app. Is it a requirement for merging this?

@lolmaus sorry for neglecting this, thought I had responded earlier. An example probably isn't required but since there is already a dummy app in the test folder it might be nice to show off the functionality?
