Game rebalancing #505

Some rebalancing options and suggestions

Decreasing and increasing prices

Expand field’s first upgrade can stay the same, but the other two prices should massively increase

Second upgrade should be 5000, third 10000 or 20000.

Getting that much money early game can be daunting, but currently you can just skip the first two upgrades. Having a major price increase would make players use the first two.

The same would apply to cow pens—cows themselves cost around 2.5k each, so having the first pen be 2.5k, the next being 10k and the next one being 40k would make much more sense. If you’re buying that many cows, you’ll have the money anyways—and if you’re breeding to save on the 2k per cow it’ll possibly feel like a struggle to get the upgrades, which is good on the players.

Cutting the combine harvester to 250k, along with the smelter, can allow players to access those features much earlier and would make progression much more fun.

You get the stone shovel much quicker than you get 500k, so being mostly unable to use it since you don’t have access to the smelter is unfortunate. Also, the auto harvest adding artificial lag each day makes it not as worthwhile and useful to pick up, especially with that price tag, so reducing it would make it more appealing.

Both prices probably deserve a tweak.

Composter can stay the same, and maybe get some more love in the future (as I’ve never used it).

Kegs from the looks of it should be 250k for the first upgrade, 750k for the second, and 2 million for the third—about a 3x increase. I haven’t used them yet, but either way the current prices don’t make sense. No point in buying the first two if the third gives you the most value in one purchase.
