FYI: I'm getting the same error. I did try both npm rebuild and npm install

with no luck. Also updated all node and node packages with no change.

Also, after looking through the issue, it appears that this is the same problem as others #504, #503, #502, #500.

It looks like the author has not committed to any repository in almost a year. Not a good sign -- hope he's OK.
