This change completely gets rid of the list jank for me 👍

preloaditems has a max of 2 (my fault)
for preloaditems to function, the background image loader must be used.

Hm, I actually thought 4 was the limit for preloaditems too.. Then again, I can't say I ever noticed any performance gain, but it's probably more noticeable on low power devices.

Anyway, looks fine to me, thanks again
