The Woocommerce Subscription extension costs $199.00 which doesn't strike me as value for money...
annual subscription is apparently the absolute lifesaver for print publications.
I'm sure there is a way without that particular plugin. It certainly doesn't add up for the current amount of subscriptions. https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/yith-woocommerce-subscription/?
we should also look into getting Stripe instead of Paypal. It's cheaper and much better for online payments. https://sozot.com/products/woocommerce-stripe/

Interesting, he also does a subscriptions add-on for $35 **** EDIT Blimey I didn't see that one was free. Well that makes me look stupid. Thanks very much for this heads-up. I'll give this a go. I'll make switching to Stripe a separate issue.
I have just made a test subscription and purchased it myself. It should charge me £1 per day for 5 days. If that works then we could be good to go on this. NOTE: it does not support variable priced subscriptions, so multiple products would have to be made for institutional/individual or differing durations are desired. @anuhenriques
Hmmm does it do discount codes?
I can't see this feature. Is this something found on normal woocommerce products? Are you thinking we could hack together variable pricing using discounts?
the woocommerce cart supports discount codes by default.
Issue is being dealt with in #29 and so closing this one.
Currently the annual subscription just charges the fee for a year's magazines, rather than setting up a standing order. The annual subscription product should do this.
