Color problems with some raster maps in gif format on Windows XP #51

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Configure a Raster Map using the gif or png version of the maps of the
"Bayerische Vermessungsverwaltung"
2. Start it in the Windows XP Version and go to the demo point (or
somewhere else in Bavaria)
3. Download some tiles

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Some (big) parts of the tiles are black. There seems to be a problem with
the colors. It happens with the Windows XP version, but not with the
Smartphone WM5. The same map in jpeg format doesn't have the problem. 
It might come from the fact that gif tiles only have 256 colors.

Tested with gpsVP r196.
