Black outline when zoomed out / vanish when zooming in #7

When zooming out and viewing the planet from top or bottom, there is a bold black outline around the earth. See this screenshot: earth Firefox 39 on Windows 7.

Also, the glow effect seems to vanish when zooming in, is this due to the change in perspektive or is it caused by some wired behaviour of the shader?
