how to handle progress bar

• it needs to know the actual size of the data to download before
• so measure how large are the data to download
• all resource loading must be able to report the progress
• based on the reported progress, display a 0-100%

• byte downloaded? Seems a good metric but hard to implelement
• nb rescources ? Much less regular... But much easier to code

what the user expect in this context

• regular is good, because thus the user knows how much time he will be kept waiting
• but is it required
• maybe it just want to see what happening, and be sure it has not crashed

what about a percent based on number of items

Maybe a text log to explain the user what is happening
