The edges section in TAble 1 is confusing people, need to fix it up somehow.
Probably the best thing would be to change it so that the edges are quoted as being produced by a particular process

age 3 - When discussing that 40% of the edges involve “inheriting directly from sampled genomes”, we need to be careful. It is very unlikely that this represent true lines of descent because the vast majority of cases are not represented on the tree. So I think we need to say something more like "40% of the edges trace back to genomes already on the growing tree, representing descent from previously sampled viruses or (more likely) genetically similar viruses”.
Current comment in caption is wrong:
“UPGMA” indicates a node inferred to be an ancestor connecting a sample to the existing tree).
