Fig 1 legend: do we need to explain mutation labels? #177

In fig 1 we don't explain what G7A, A100G, etc stand for. Do we need to say this anywhere? See https://github.com/jeromekelleher/sc2ts-paper/issues/156#issuecomment-1576145293 for minor discussion.

I can see people trying to understand what the 7 is in G7A, in particular

FWIW, there's quite a lot of space for expanded legend text in the figure.

Sure. It's just that GISAID uses that format to indicate mutations. Maybe show basePOSITIONbase or something like that in the figure legend?
